Thomas Cook launched its ‘#NoPlaceForPlastic’ campaign in November 2018. The company makes four pledges, that by 2020 it will have: 1. Removed 70 million single use plastic items from across its business at home, on the journey and on holiday; 2. Where possible substituted disposable items with those made from recycled plastic, biodegradable or compostable options; 3. Ensured when plastic is used it is recycled, where the facilities exist and to improve recycling and waste capabilities across its destinations; 4. Used its size to influence customers, employees, suppliers and the wider travel industry to raise awareness on this issue.
