Discover Adventure — Green teams and Cycle for Good
A Green Team at Discover Adventure headquarters is always on the lookout for new ways to be sustainable. The majority of office waste is now recycled, and ‘wildflower seed bombs’ have helped to create a biodiverse haven in the office garden. Business cards are even made from recycled t-shirts in a bit to reuse wherever possible.
Discover Adventure is committed to eco-initiatives on expeditions and challenges, too. In 2020, two trees per person, per day will be planted for each guest in Peru. A partnership with water bottle filter company Water-to-Go also means that participants can reduce plastic water bottle use, wherever they are in the world. The Reduce, Reuse and Recycle philosophy extends throughout the whole operation — inner tubes from European cycling adventures are sent to Cycle of Good, which turns them into products that can be sold to fund vital community projects in developing countries.
