Thomas Cook - no place for plastic
Thomas Cook wants to see the end of plastic in our seas and play an active part in keeping its destinations beautiful. By 2020, the company have pledged to make a series of changes, drastically reducing plastic use. These include: removing 70 million single-use plastic items from across the business at home, on the journey and on holiday; substituting disposable plastic items with those made from recycled, biodegradable or compostable items where possible; recycle plastic when used and improves recycling and waste capabilities across destinations; raise awareness within the industry. Thomas Cook hopes that this #noplaceforplastic campaign will help remove some of the 8 million pieces of plastic pollution that find their way into oceans every day.
